Our Inspiration

LATE DAMBAR BAHADUR HAMAL

Late Dambar Bahadur Hamal is remembered as a very kind, humble, and minimalist man. He was a man of integrity who believed that honesty and hardworking are the best ways to achieve sustainable life. Never in his life had he traded integrity to achieve fame and attention. He accepted that failure is part of living an entire life but taught us never to be defined by failure. At age 13, he started working at a local library to support his family. He later served the Nepal police and retired as a Deputy Superintendent of Police after working for over 30 years. He was a super dad to seven kids and a supportive husband to my mom Jayanti. Unfortunately, a heart attack took him away at age 62 leaving behind a very devasted family. It has been over 25 years since he passed away, but the legacy he has left behind through his family and the many lives he touched are indelible.

LATE SUMANA LAMSAL

Late Sumana Lamsal is remembered as the simplest of a woman, a tireless mom to four children, an amazing homemaker, and a kind hearted person who went through all the thick and thins of life. Her happiness was truly in her family's happiness and of those who were around her. A sudden heart attack took her away from us in 2016 at the age of 72. She was only high school educated but that didn't stop her from giving us the most valuable lessons of having the grit to get through very difficult challenges of life. We remember her smile the most and still feel the warmth of her love.
